This coming month will be jam-packed.
A trip to Key West this weekend.
Reading endorsement courses on two Saturdays.
An appt. with a new chiropractor. *Fingers crossed he fixes my back!
A dermaplaning facial at the end of the month.
An international trip for my birthday!
Scheduled barn days every Thursday. ( I volunteer at a horse rescue every week)

Drinking | Water and more water. After my last glass of champagne at the barn on NYE, I'm trying to refrain from alcohol until AJ and I's vacation. Think I can do it?

Wondering | If Girl, Wash Your Face is worth the read. I'm sure I'm the last person to check this book out but honestly, is it worth it?

Listening to | Janet Evanovich's Notorious Nineteen and Sell or Be Sold by Grant Cardone. I'm trying to balance out my love of fiction with more productive books.  Having an Audible subscription is one of the best things I did in 2018.

Choosing | My word of the year, perseverance. Girlfriend isn't going to lose weight, change jobs or have a clean house without discipline.

Tidying | My office space. It's in the middle of a mid-life crisis and doesn't know if it wants to stay a junk room or become an office/guest room. The plan is to get rid of the junk and buy a pull-out couch for the space.

Exploring | The Florida Keys. On our trip down tomorrow we plan on stopping at new places we've never been.

Resolving | to lose 40+ lbs this year. I've hooked up with the same trainer that helped me lose the weight the first time and I'm ready to kick ass and take names this year.

Refreshing | My outlook on work. I've been having a terrible year  and I'm working on refreshing my attitude toward my job.

Christmas Coffee Date

Sunday, December 23, 2018

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! If we were to meet for coffee this day we would talk about:

Our weekend. How did your weekend go? Friday started Winter Break from school! As soon as I got home, I took a 5-hour nap and then started watching more of Vikings ( I'm obsessed). Do you watch it? Next, I'd mention that Saturday was my annual Christmas Cookie Day with my Mom, Grandma, and family friend Ronnie.  We spend all day baking as many Christmas cookies as we can! Peanut butter cookies, no-bake cookies, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, and iced sugar cookies are all on the menu.

Our holiday traditions: Other than the Christmas Cookie Day, my family celebrates the most on Christmas Eve. We all get together at my parents' house to eat, drink and share in the merriment of the season. My job is to drink the wine.  What are your holiday traditions?

New Year's Eve: Do you stay in or go out? AJ and I are homebodies, partly because my dog goes nuts over fireworks and partly because it's too dangerous to be out among the drivers. Plus, there are people out there... so many people. I'd rather stay inside with my PJ's and a glass of champagne than get dressed up and hone my small talk skills.

I might also mention that I've been on an Audible kick and keep listening to Janet Evanovich books. I'd probably tell you about my trip to NYC, and places I'd love to travel to after my next trip in January. Any guesses where AJ and I are going?

What else should we talk about?

Currently, I'm..

{Feeling} Hopeful! I've decided to become a marketing partner with Monat because I love how their products make my hair feel and look. Even the kiddos in my life have noticed and complimented me on my hair!
{Inspired by} the strength of the women around me. Recently my Granddaddy passed away and my Grandmother and Mom have pushed forward and done what has been needed to get done.
{Watching}New Girl, all over again. Also, all those cheesy Hallmark movies. Bring me all the hot chocolate, blankets and tissues.
{Thinking about} Getting a facial. I've never had one and aging is on my radar. Has anyone had one? Am I late to the game?
{Grateful for} the opportunity to travel! I've got two trips planned in two months, one cold, one warm. Stay tuned for trip pics!
{Listening to} Johnny Cash Christmas on vinyl. What are your other favorite Christmas albums?

Wow, it's been a while, again. I'm actually trying to use my dinosaur of a laptop more often and uninstall some apps to gain memory so I can come around this place more often. Unfortunately, that meant I uninstalled World of Warcraft and my nerd heart is sad. Anywho, here's what's going on with me currently, other than shopping and pulling my hair out because the dogs are driving me insane.

Planning: My meals again. I'm starting the Keto diet tomorrow and HAVE to be prepared or I know I'll binge on Christmas cookies, again.

Watching: Versaille. Season 2 is On Demand and I couldn't' be happier. What do I watch next?

Reading: Buddhism for Dummies. Buddhism has really struck a chord with me lately and I'm curious about the inner workings of it.

Regretting: That I won't be with the rest of my family for Christmas. Unfortunately, AJ has to work on Xmas Eve and Day. This will be my first KW Christmas.

Looking forward to: Selling my house and possibly moving to Wilmington, NC. Anyone from NC!?

Wanting: Christmas break to be here already!! Four and a half more school days until two weeks off!

Loving: My newest tattoo. I got it on our HONEYMOON. Yes, we got married in November!

Accomplishing: Mediation I've only missed two days this month but may make up the time.

Realizing: That I'm no good at introductions or closings to emails or blog posts.

Drinking: Gallons of coffee and no alcohol. I gave it up because it doesn't agree with my current medications. Errr.

MakingHarry Potter inspired floating candles for my classroom. What a pain!

Stay strong ladies, the holidays are almost here!
